At Sloka since 2010
Vijaya is a Telugu teacher, with 19 years of teaching experience. While researching schools for her son, she discovered Steiner/Waldorf education. Interest in Steiner’s philosophy led her to attend India’s first Anthroposophical Medical Conference in 2002. Joining as an Assistant Teacher at Diksha Waldorf School, she found that she enjoyed teaching and soon undertook her journey as a full-time teacher, teaching the Telugu language.
After a few years, she joined the team at Sloka. Focus on the all-round development of the child, and innumerable opportunities for the faculty to upskill, are some of the features that drew her to teach at Sloka. Vijaya enjoys helping students learn the Telugu language, and taking the time to share in their joys, fears, and motivations, so as to support their overall development.
