Sobana Srinivasan

At Sloka since 2012

Sobana initially worked in a bank after completing her MBA. However, when she started looking for the right education for her first child, she decided to qualify to be a teacher. On completing B.Ed., she attended Waldorf training programmes like ‘Vallaki’ and at Lonavala. Offered a teaching position at Diksha Waldorf School for the first grade, she completed a cycle there.

She was happy to join Sloka in June 2012 as she started looking for a bigger Waldorf school to suit the needs of both of her daughters. Sloka presented her with a wider canvas to work on. After being a Class Teacher in middle school, she also taught various blocks like Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History etc.

Working with children with learning difficulties has been an area of Sobana’s interest. She has done remedial courses in Alpha to Omega and Extra Lesson. She is currently endeavouring to bring the Extra Lesson exercises to the classroom to help children with movement and remediation.
